The 2011 CU 4 Reality Fair Season continues to be busy. During the 2010-2011 season, close to 10,000 students have been through our CU 4 Reality Financial Education Program!

Jan 7th: Goffstown High School and AGAPE Auburn, NH Home School Cooperative held their Reality Fair at America’s Credit Union Museum in Manchester. This fair was hosted by Bellwether Credit Union and was attended by close to 200 students.

Jan 14th: Service Credit Union hosted a fair at Timberlane Middle School. This fair was successfully held in the school library and was attended by 180 students.

Jan 21st: O’Fallon Township High School held their Reality Fair attended by 250 students. This fair was sponsored by Scott Credit Union.

Feb 9th: Scott Credit Union in Illinois hosted a fair for the 218 students at Mascoutah Middle School.

Mar 3rd: Keene Middle School held their Fair at America’s Credit Union Museum. This fair was sponsored by Service Credit Union for approximately 100 students.

Mar 4th: Triad High School held their fair for 165 students. Scott Credit Union sponsored this event.

Mar 22nd: Woodland’s Credit Union sponsored approximately 65 students from the Josiah Bartlett School and J. Brett School. The fair was held at the Josiah Bartlett School.

Mar 23rd: Service Credit Union hosted approximately 400 students of Woodbury Middle School. The Fair was held at the Salem Boy’s and Girl’s Club.

Mar 25th: West Running Brook Middle School’s fair was held at America’s Credit Union Museum. St. Mary’s Credit Union and Service Credit Union jointly sponsored this fair for approximately 150 students.

Apr 8th: America’s Credit Union Museum was the site of Portsmouth Middle School fair. Approximately 185 students were hosted by Service Credit Union.

April 8th: Scott Credit Union hosted approximately 100 students of Mascoutah High School in Illinois.

Apr 12th: A fair was held at St. Bernard’s Center in Fitchburg, MA for Skyview Middle School, St. Anna’s School, St. Anthony’s School, Fitchburg Academy of Arts School and Fitchburg High School. This event was sponsored for approximately 275 students by Fitchburg ME Federal Credit Union, GFA Federal Credit Union, IC Federal Credit Union, Leominister Credit Union, Workers' Credit Union and Leominster Empl. Credit Union

Apr 14th: Approximately 120 students from East Providence High School in Rhode Island were treated to a fair sponsored by Community and Teacher’s Credit Union. The fair was held at the Ramada Inn- Seekonk.

April 15th: Service Credit sponsored 150 students from Monadnock Middle School. The fair was held at America’s Credit Union Museum.

April 20th & 21st: Rundlett Middle School will hold a two day fair at America’s Credit Union Museum. NH Federal Credit Union is sponsoring approximately the 400 students for this fair.

Apr 27th: Woodland’s Credit Union is hosting a fair for the 156 students of Berlin Jr. & Sr. High School and Gorham Middle School. The fair will be held at Berlin Jr. & Sr. High School.

Apr 27th: Scott Credit Union in Illinois will host 165 students of Bethalto Civic Memorial High School.

April 28th & 29th: Scott Credit Union in Illinois will host 80 students of Highland High School in two days.

May 3rd: Scott Credit Union will host approximately 20 students of New Athens High School in Illinois.

May 5th: Dexter Credit Union in Rhode Island are hosting approximately 70 students from Johnston Senior High School at the school gymnasium.

May 6th: St. Mary’s Bank Credit Union is sponsoring approximately 200 students from Boynton Middle School, Wilton-Lyndeborough Middle School, West High School JAG and Memorial High School JAG. The fair will be held at America’s Credit Union Museum.

May 11th: Westerly Community Credit Union is hosting a fair for approximately 75 students from Westerly High School.

May 12th: Granite State Credit Union, Triangle Credit Union and Bellwether Community Credit Union are cooperatively sponsoring Nashua North high School. Over 450 students are invited to participate in this fair.

May 17th: Navigant Credit Union will host approximately 240 students of the North Smithfield High School and Burrillville High School. The fair will be held at Navigant Credit Union.

May 18th: Navigant Credit Union will host a fair for Gallagher Middle School. Approximately 330 students will participate in this fair.

May 19th: Columbus Credit Union will host approximately 450 students from the Edward R. Martin Middle School and Riverside Middle School.

May 25th: Holy Rosary Credit Union and Northeast Credit Union will host approximately 200 students from Spaulding High School. Prospect Mt. High School and Milton High School at the Richard Creteau Technology Center in Rochester, NH.

May 26th: Bellwether Community Credit Union will host the students of Cawley Middle School and the Somerville Public School After School Program.

May 27th: Service Credit Union will host 200 students from Timberlane Middle School. The Fair will be held again in the Timberland School Library.

The University of Iowa Community Credit Union have sponsored 17 schools and 2500 students during this school year.

Several military bases located in Germany will hold CU 4 Reality Financial Reality Fairs. Service Credit Union will host approximately 560 individuals in Germany this year.
From 2010 The busy CU 4 Reality Financial Education Fair season continues with three April fairs at America’s Credit Union Museum in Manchester, NH and one in the Midwest.

On April 8, Service Credit Union of Portsmouth, NH will be hosting a fair for 180 students from Portsmouth Middle School. This is the fourth year in a row SCU has worked with Portsmouth Middle School in the CU 4 Reality™ Financial Education Program.

On April 9, Scott Credit Union of Illinois will be hosting their second annual CU 4 Reality™ Fair for one hundred students from Triad High School of Troy, IL.

On April 15, Service Credit Union will again host a middle school fair, this time for 150 Monadnock Middle School students from Keene, NH. This is Monadnock’s first fair.

On April 21 and 22, Rundlett Middle School of Concord, NH will come to America’s Credit Union Museum for their seventh annual CU 4 Reality™ Fair! As always, these are sponsored by New Hampshire Federal Credit Union of Concord. This year 350 students will practice their personal financial management skills.

On Wednesday January 13, 2010 the year's first CU 4 Reality Financial Education Fair was held at America's Credit Union Museum for 165 Goffstown High School sophomores and twenty high school aged students from the AGAPE Auburn, NH Home School Cooperative. The fair had two sessions beginning at 9:00am and ending at 12:30pm. The fair was sponsored by Bellwether Community Credit Union with assistance from America's Credit Union Museum, both of Manchester, NH.

Area businesses that participated as spending booth vendors were Best Buy, Comcast, Animal Rescue League of NH, Kohl's, Manchester YMCA, The NHHEAF Network Organizations, Credit Union Direct Lending, PSNH, and the New Hampshire Banking Department.

Additional Credit Unions joining in to participate were New Hampshire Federal Credit Union, Northeast Credit Union, Triangle Credit Union, Service Credit Union, and St. Mary's Bank.

On Tuesday January 19, 2010 the year's second CU 4 Reality Financial Education Fair was held at Nashua High School North for 460 Nashua High School North freshmen. The fair was spread over four sessions over the course of day. Students from the school's Culinary program prepared a great meal for all of the Credit Union and business representatives in attendance. The fair was sponsored by Granite State Credit Union, Bellwether Community Credit Union of Manchester, NH and Triangle Credit Union of Nashua, NH. With assistance from America's Credit Union Museum.

Area businesses that participated to date are Comcast, AT&T, The Limited, Best Buy, The NHHEAF Network Organizations, Independent Insurance Agents of NH, Credit Union Direct Lending, PSNH, and the New Hampshire Banking Department with more to follow.

New Hampshire Federal Credit Union also lent support.

Preparations for the rest of the 2010 CU 4 Reality fair season have begun. To date, there sixteen fairs being planned in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island between March and June.
